My name is Karín Requena. I am a chef, culinary guide, and passionate explorer of cultures. For nearly three decades, I have dedicated my life to approaching cooking not only as a profession, but as a way to understand the world and connect with people.

My career began in traditional kitchens, where I learned that cooking means so much more than just mastering techniques. It means listening to stories, respecting ingredients, and understanding the history that each recipe holds.
For nearly thirty years, I have worked in kitchens, culinary projects, and cultural experiences that have allowed me to discover the extraordinary diversity of cuisine as a form of human expression.
Every trip, every market, and every conversation taught me that behind every dish there is a story worth telling.
Over time, I came to realize that cuisine is one of the most universal languages there is: a way for us to communicate even when we don't speak the same language.

Over the years, I've discovered that the most memorable experiences aren't usually found in travel guides, but rather in spontaneous conversations, local markets, small family-run taverns, and dishes passed down from generation to generation.
That’s why today I combine cuisine, history, and culture to help people discover a city from an authentic and deeply human perspective.
